CH Tools – Local Delivery Policy

Purpose: The purpose of this Local Delivery Policy is to provide guidelines for the management and execution of local deliveries to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate service. This policy aims to outline the procedures and responsibilities related to local deliveries within the designated delivery area.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees involved in the processing, handling, and delivery of orders within CH Tools’ local delivery area.

1.Delivery Service Area:

1.1 Coverage:
– Defined Area: Local deliveries are available within a 20 km radius of Emerald, QLD. Deliveries outside this area may incur additional charges or require special arrangements.
– Service Limits: The delivery area is subject to change based on operational capacity and geographic considerations.1.2 Delivery Zones:
– Standard Zones: Deliveries are categorized into standard zones based on distance and time from the store. Each zone may have specific delivery schedules and fees.

2.Delivery Scheduling and Management:

2.1 Order Processing:
– Order Placement: Customers must place orders by 11am for same-day delivery. Orders placed after this time will be scheduled for the next business day.
– Order Confirmation: Upon placing an order, customers will receive an order confirmation with an estimated delivery time and date.2.2 Delivery Scheduling:
– Scheduling: Deliveries are scheduled based on order priority and availability. Customers will be provided with a delivery window when the delivery is scheduled.
– Changes: Any changes to delivery schedules must be communicated to [Customer Service/Delivery Coordinator] as soon as possible. Efforts will be made to accommodate changes, but they are subject to availability and operational constraints.

3. Delivery Procedures:

3.1 Delivery Preparation:
– Order Verification: Prior to delivery, orders are verified for accuracy, including item quantities and delivery addresses.
– Packaging: Items are carefully packaged to ensure safe transportation and delivery.3.2 Delivery Execution:
– Driver Responsibilities: Delivery drivers must ensure that orders are delivered to the correct address and obtain a signature upon delivery if required.
– Customer Interaction: Drivers are expected to communicate professionally with customers, provide assistance with unloading if needed, and address any immediate concerns or issues.3.3 Delivery Issues:
– Delivery Failures: If a delivery cannot be completed due to incorrect address information, customer unavailability, or other issues, the delivery will be rescheduled or returned to the store. Customers will be contacted to arrange an alternative delivery or pick-up.

4. Delivery Fees and Charges:

4.1 Standard Fees:
– Fee Structure: Local delivery fees are based on the delivery zone and order value. Standard fees will be communicated at the time of order placement.
– Minimum Order Value: A minimum order value may apply for local deliveries. Orders below this value may incur additional charges or may not be eligible for delivery.4.2 Additional Charges:

5. Customer Responsibilities:

– Address Verification: Customers must provide accurate delivery addresses and contact information. Any changes to the delivery address must be communicated to Customer Service as soon as possible.
– Accessibility: Ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that there are no obstructions that could hinder the delivery process.5.2 Availability:
– Reception: Customers or an authorized representative must be available at the delivery address during the scheduled delivery window to receive the order.

6. Policy Compliance and Contact Information:

6.1 Compliance:
– All employees involved in local deliveries must adhere to this policy. Failure to comply with policy guidelines may result in corrective action.

6.2 Reporting Issues:
