Refund policy

This policy sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in it limits or excludes those rights.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Faulty or damaged goods

Please check your order when it arrives and get in touch straight away if anything is damaged, defective, or not what you ordered.

Every tool we sell is genuine product through the manufacturer's authorised Australian distribution, with full manufacturer's warranty. If something fails inside warranty, bring it back to the counter on Hospital Road and our team manages the claim with the manufacturer's support. Each brand's own warranty terms are listed on our warranty page.

Change of mind

We look at change-of-mind returns case by case. We do not advertise a fixed return window - talk to the team and we will work it out with you.

Where we accept a change-of-mind return, the item needs to be unused, in its original packaging, and with proof of purchase. Whether a particular item can come back depends on the item, and the team will let you know when you get in touch.

How to start a return

Contact us before sending anything back:

  • Phone 07 4982 1322
  • Email sales@chtools.com.au
  • Or come into 58 Hospital Road, Emerald QLD 4720

Items sent back without contacting us first cannot be accepted.

Refunds

Where a refund is due, we will let you know once we have looked at the returned item, and process it back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer it can take a few business days to appear.
